A query, while I consider how best to describe myself in so succinct a manner:
If my guest prefers to remain unremarked upon, would that be acceptable? I can assure you she is most fascinating, but has even less patience than I with scrutiny.
As to your guest, while I myself am a most ardent supporter of a woman of mystery I can regrettably make no promises as to the opinions of the guests in attendance. I suspect the Lady in question likely to find herself a position where she might be forced to do battle with inquiring minds, and for the sake of upholding Riftwatch's good name I might recommend the avoidance of any blood shed.
(I am of course being facetious; I am sure the 'She' in question is perfectly delightful and that all violence would be entirely metaphorical. I only seek to be candid about the likelihood that the Lady may find her in a remarkable position as I would prefer she not be too upset by it. Naturally as the two of us have become such fast allies, I would prefer to satisfy your companion in whatever way I am able.)
I have discussed with the lady in question, and she assures me she is more than prepared to deal with any curiosity aimed in her direction. Between us, I think you'll be impressed to see her handle your guests. As for myself, I'm prepared to intercede on her behalf should it become necessary, but sincerely doubt I'll be needed.
I admit, I'm eager for you to meet her.
Regarding introductions, I'd prefer to keep my own brief. (And as uncompromising as possible.) Please introduce me as Quartermaster of the famed Walrus, Master of Information to Riftwatch, and profound storyteller.
Then under such circumstances, I am compelled to insist that you bring this most mysterious woman along with you for my curiosity, such as it is, is quite piqued indeed. I am all eagerness to be acquainted with anyone whom you might hold in such high regard, for I have come to know your taste and perception of things to be rather sharp.
On that note, I will of course be most happy to keep your introductions brief and as you have most delicately written. Should you desire to make any changes, feel free to extend them to me at your convenience.
